Hailing from opposite sides of the globe, Bella Human is a Dutch-South African singer, songwriter and pianist looking to transform the world around her through song.

Born into a musically active family, she played as many instruments her parents would allow her as a child including harp, piano, guitar and voice lessons. Piano and voice would later stick as the go-to instruments, studying classical voice with Sabine Wüthrich during high school whilst performing and recording at any opportunity. After high school, she briefly continued her vocal studies with voice teacher Roberta Alexander before moving to Cape Town to join Kamal Khan’s opera school at the University of Cape Town. There she graduated with a Bachelor’s in Music, Psychology and Sociology, whilst performing as an opera student and jazz soloist at the Piano Bar in Cape Town.

In Fall 2018, Bella Human was granted a Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds and is now currently taking part in NYU’s Songwriting Masters Program.
